As of the last 2-3 days Titan has been nipping/licking his butthole/base of tail. Today I noticed he has got it red under the hair on the tail and his butthole is nearly raw. Diet has been the same for the last 3 weeks [...] Ok, so after the local feedstores here increasing all their kibbles dramatically, I’ve decided to switch to raw for my dogs because I don’t want to feed my dogs crap in a bag and I gotta say, it is definitely going to save me a lot of money and raw is supposed to have a lot of benefits as well. So here is my question for the ones that are feeding high end kibble such as :innova evo, totw, blue buffalo, wellness core, orijen, instinct, go, etc. How come you guys don’t switch to raw? [...] I’ve been feeding raw for a year now. [...] Our old vet was on an Army base and really over vaccinated (I didn’t have much of a choice, there was Army regulations involved since we lived on post) and always told me my dogs were underweight and that I was abusing them by having them on a raw diet instead of a “great kibble like science diet.” :rolleyes: I called a vet this morning and did a quick interview. He is a very strong supporter of titers, less vaccines (not vaccinating for things that are not a problem around here), and the raw diet. [...] |
