The oil washing up on Biloxi’s beaches. [...] The wildlife rescue has been called, again today, to help with an oiled pelican here on Garcon Point, just east of Pensacola and on Escambia Bay. Last eve, there was a few oiled Pelicans spoted but it was too late in the day to try a rescue, although the rescue team did show up at my door to take a look at the photos that I have taken of the pelicans [...] 58 years of living on the gulf coast i never have seen the beaches on a sunday morning so deserted. lots of clean up efforts are mostly all i saw. here are some video of the clean efforts [...] Photos taken of signs in Grand Isle this morning in Louisiana show the impact the Deep Horizon oil crisis has made on this small island community. [...] These pictures are of the oil/tar that washed up on Pensacola Beach today. It’s so devastating! [...] |
